Raku firing demonstration at BoS – TODAY

Short notice, but with the forecasters suggesting the warmest day of the year so far we will be heating things up a bit more at Broomfield Farm with a Raku firing. Come along to see the process in action and have a go yourself!

New work – for Bucks Open Studios

These are the first results from another Read and Ballantyne collaboration to make (almost) life-size chickens for outside display. I threw the shapes, Richard modelled the hens and handed them back to me for glazing. Come and see them at Bucks Open Studios in June. Soon to be featured in the Garden Sculpture photo gallery.

Medmenham Raku workshop

On 27th June Richard and I led a raku workshop for the pottery groups run by Suzanne Phillips. This was held in the beautiful grounds of Suzanne’s house and studio in Medmenham on the River Thames.
